Among the scores of poor families, there is one family of Ritu Devi Wd/o Puran Chand R/o Deon Purmandal whose poverty speaks to what kind of challenges she is facing.

Srinagar, Feb 14: In blatant violation of services rules, the Jammu and Kashmir Government on Monday posted a Range Officer as Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) in Anantnag Forest Division.
“Mohd Ramzan Mir, RO-1 presently posted as District Soil Conservation Officer Anantnag, is transferred and posted as DFO Anantnag Forest Division,” reads Order issued by Forest Department.

SRINAGAR, Feb 14: The Government today informed that 245 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 160 from Jammu division and 85 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 451016.

SRINAGAR, Feb 14: The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) scholars working on academic arrangement in colleges and universities in the Kashmir valley today carried out a protest demonstration here in support of their demands and urged the LG Manoj Sinha to take personal interest in their matter.
The PhD scholars said that although they are paid Rs. 28,000 per month but since lot of time gets wasted their monthly remuneration does not cross Rs. 18,600.
