5 terror-friendly employees sacked since NC Govt took charge | | |

Jammu, Feb 15: With the sacking of three more government employees for their involvement in subversive activities, the Jammu and Kashmir Government has so far terminated 70 terror-friendly employees during the last nearly four years.
Although 70 pro-terrorists have been axed during the last four years, five government employees have been sacked for their links with terrorists after the formation of a National Conference-led government headed by Omar Abdullah.
Earlier on November 29, 2024 Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday terminated two government employees from service for their alleged terror links.

SRINAGAR, Feb 15: Police have arrested five persons for causing public disturbance in Kadi Kadal area of downtown Srinagar on Saturday.
A case in this regard has been registered in the Police Station Nowhata vide FIR No. 08/2025 under section 194 BNS, after five individuals were found engaged in a fight at Kadi Kadal, Srinagar, causing public disturbance, Police said.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Moieed Baba a resident of Firdous Colony, Eidgah, Farhan Shah of Gojwara, Junaid Shahnawaz of Gojwara, Moien Manzoor Kak of Kak Mohalla and Shahid Mukhtar of Shampora.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board exams for Class 10 and 12 began on Saturday with over 42 lakh students set to appear for them at over 7,800 centres across the country and abroad.
According to board officials, a total of 24.12 lakh Class 10 students will appear for exams in 84 subjects, while over 17.88 lakh students will appear for Class 12 exams across 120 subjects.
The exams are scheduled at 7,842 centres in India and 26 centres abroad.

Ten persons travelling in a Bolero car were killed in a head-on collision with a bus on a highway in the Meja police station area of Prayagraj late on Friday night, police said on Saturday.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Vivek Chandra Yadav said the devotees from Chhattisgarh’s Korba district were heading to the Maha Kumbh to take a dip when the Bolero they were travelling in collided head-on with a bus on the highway.
All the 10 people travelling in the Bolero died in the accident, while those in the bus suffered minor injuries, the DCP said.
