Jammu, Feb 16: It was a repetition of Himachal Pradesh in J&K as Harsh Dev Singh, chairman of the state coordination committee of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) resigned from the party on Thursday.
The resignation of Harsh Dev Singh is a big jolt for the AAP and its plan to expand its base in J&K.
Earlier similar episode took place in Himachal Pradesh when AAP in Himachal Pradesh state unit president Anup Kesari, general secretary organization Satish Thakur and Una district chief Iqbal Singh, joined BJP at the residence of JP Nadda in the national capital in April 2022.
With the resignation of the entire unit, AAP’s dream to emerge as a force in Himachal Pradesh was shattered.
The same is the situation in J&K as the plan of the AAP to expand its base in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir received a severe setback on Thursday when Harsh Dev Singh announced to quit the party.

Srinagar, Feb 16: Security forces foiled the first infiltration bid of 2023 by killing a militant close to the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district, officials said on Thursday.
The bid was eliminated during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday at Saidpora in Tangdhar sector of Kupwara.

An official said that the highway was shut for two days due to shooting stones at Ramban.
