Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 19: The tall claims of good governance dished out by the LG administration of Jammu and Kashmir were falling ruthlessly flat on Saturday when Panches and Sarpanches of Nowgham block of north Kashmir’s Bandipora held protest demonstrations and sealed the BDO office for officer’s continuous absence from duties. Scores of Panches and Sarpanches of Nowgham block of Bandipora alleged that the works pertaining to the developmental activities of the block have come to a grinding halt due to the shirker attitude of those at the helm in Block Development office, sending locals into tizzy. They alleged that the non- serious approach of the government has led to an absolute chaos on the ground as the concerned BDO who was transferred and posted in the block on 27 of last month hasn’t been in the office since then for more than mere few hours. They said that such lackadaisical approach has plunged the block into crises with locals finding no corridor to express their helplessness. Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 19: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship housing scheme, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY), Gramin, for the rural poor is moving at a slow pace in Jammu and Kashmir despite liberal funding provided by the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre. Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Feb 19: The Government today informed that 166 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 103 from Jammu division and 63 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 452155.
