Amnesty for stone pelters in Kashmir, land row agitators in Jammu face charges
Discrimination with Jammu continues
2/21/2018 11:23:18 PM
K Koushal Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 21: It may perhaps not be wrong to say that the State government seems least interested in giving empathetic acceptance to the agitators of 2008 land row in Jammu, who are facing various charges since 2008. Even when the state government showed concerns for stone pelters in Kashmir and granted amnesty to over 4500 'first time offenders of stone pelting' and moreover proposed to provide same to the second timers as well, but they showed no interest in taking care of the youth who had been booked during 2008 Amarnath land row. The state government did not budge even after the interference of MoS in Prime Minister Office (PMO) Dr Jitendra Singh, who reportedly raised this issue at various platforms. Not only this, the State government also did not provide any ear to special interlocutor- Dineshwar Sharma who had also assured necessary action in this regard. He, during interaction with media had said "I have spoken to the concerned authorities and asked for the details of cases against the youth in Jammu. I have assured them that I will take ...
