Jammu, Feb 21: The successive regimes have been spending around Rs 100 crores annually on the security of mainly those politicians who don't shy away from supporting Pakistan even after the deadly attack on the security forces in Pulwama.
The "continued and undue security cover, especially to the dynasts who have ruled Jammu and Kashmir for the past over 70 years" has drawn criticism from the nationalist people who find such "extravagance in the name of security, a waste of public money."
From Dr Farooq Abdullah to his son Omar Abdullah to Mehbooba Mufti, the successive Chief Ministers have been enjoying Z Plus security for them and their families even when they are out of power. And this huge expenditure is being made despite the fact that such politicians continue to speak about "need for talks with Pakistan" even after the dastardly attack on the security forces in Kashmir that left over 40 jawans martyred.
