Jammu, Feb 21: To directly connect with the masses to solve their problems, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has started a pro-people “Awaam Ki Awaaz” programme similar to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ in April 2021 but a coterie of Babus at the helm of the affairs appear to be the biggest stumbling block in translating LG’s vision to the reality.
Instead of facilitating the sincere efforts of Lieutenant Governor’s “Jan Bhagidari” in the governance process, this coterie of Babus is misleading him about the implementation of his visionary agenda at the ground level.
In the first episode of ‘Awaam Ki Awaaz’ on April 18, 2021, the Lieutenant Governor had promised to create job opportunities at the village level to stop migration from villages to cities. But, the same promise is yet to be fulfilled.
Those at the helm of the affairs appear to be adopting a callous approach towards solving vital issues like employment and providing basic amenities to the people.
