New Delhi, Feb 28:
Forty per cent pillion riders on two-wheelers in Delhi did not use helmets leading to head injuries, according to a data collected in 2022 at the AIIMS Trauma Centre here.
However, the data showed that nearly 85 per cent of the riders of two-wheelers used helmets while the rest did not wear the protective gear leading to head injuries, which resulted in mortality or morbidity, said AIIMS Trauma Centre chief Dr Kamran Farooque.
He referred to data collected at the centre between January 21 to December 22.

NEW DELHI, Feb 28:
The six national parties have declared a total income of nearly Rs 3077 crore in the 2022-23 fiscal, with the BJP getting the maximum share totalling around Rs 2361 crore, the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) said on Wednesday.
The ruling BJP’s income forms 76.73 per cent of the total income of the six national parties during FY 2022-23, it said.
The Congress declared the second highest income of Rs 452.375 crore, which forms 14.70 per cent of the total income of the six national parties. Besides the BJP and the Congress, BSP, AAP, NPP and CPI-M have declared their income.

BARAMULLA, Feb 28: Jammu and Kashmir police attached properties worth around ₹60 lakh belonging to drug peddlers in Baramulla district, officials said on Wednesday.
The drug peddlers whose properties have been seized were identified as Mohd Ayoob Shah and Ghulam Mohammad Shah, alias Gulshah, residents of the Ladoora Rafiabad area in Baramulla district. The action was taken based on a case under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (NDPS), the police said.
According to Baramulla police, the seized properties included a single-story residential house and a double-story shopping complex with two separate washrooms.

Mendhar/Jammu, Feb 28: Army troops guarding the Line of Control fired nearly two dozen rounds at a Pakistani drone after it intruded into Indian territory in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Wednesday.
However, the drone managed to return to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) after hovering briefly over some forward Indian posts in Mendhar and Krishna Ghati sectors, the officials said.
The incident happened late Tuesday, prompting a search operation to ensure that there was no airdropping of weapons or narcotics by the drone, they said.

SRINAGAR, Feb 28: Security forces arrested a terrorist aide in North Kashmir’s Sopore town, police said on Wednesday.
The arrest was made a day after Lashkar-e-Taiba’s terrorist associate was arrested in the neighbouring Baramulla district.
Police said, “Terrorist associate Arif Hussain Bhat of Mundji Bomai Sopore, who was in constant contact with terrorist handlers across the border, was apprehended following information by Sopore Police along with the Army’s 22 Rashtriya Rifles and 179 battalion CRPF.”
