Wazir murder case: After Sudershan Singh’s arrest, retired police officer under scanner | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 5: After the arrest of a prominent businessman-cum-politician Sudershan Singh Wazir in the high-profile and sensational murder of former National Conference MLC Trilochan Singh Wazir, the role of a retired police officer has come under the scanner.
Although senior police officers have maintained a guarded silence, sources said that the said retired police officer is close confidant of Sudershan Singh Wazir and both were “calling the shots” during the NC-Congress coalition regime in J&K.
Sources said that many new things are likely to be exposed during the questioning of Sudershan Singh Wazir by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police.
As reported earlier, with the arrest of Jammu’s prominent businessman-cum-politician Sudershan Singh Wazir the high-profile murder case of the former legislator of National Conference (NC) Trilochan Singh Wazir took a new twist.
Interestingly both Sudershan Singh and Trilochan Singh were cousins and affiliated with the NC.

JAMMU, Feb 5: Residents of Dhangri in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Sunday expressed concern over terrorists behind the twin attacks in Dhangri village remaining untraced. They have demanded justice for the victims and threatened to go on a hunger strike if the security agencies are unable to eliminate the terrorists within the next 15 days.
Seven people were killed and 14 injured as terrorists attacked Dhangri on January 1.
While five people, including two brothers, were killed in the firing by terrorists, two children died when an improvised explosive device (IED) left behind by the attackers went off the next day.

Under an influence of Western Disturbance light to moderate rain/snow is expected at most places in Kashmir and some places in Jammu region between February 5 (night) and February 6 (evening). There is a possibility of snowfall in plains too.

Shah is scheduled to land at MBB Airport here on Sunday at 11.30 pm.

New Delhi, Feb 5: The Supreme Court is all set to get five new judges, taking its strength to 32 against the sanctioned strength of 34, on Monday when three chief justices– Justice Pankaj Mithal, Justice Sanjay Karol and P V Sanjay Kumar — of high courts of Rajasthan, Patna and Manipur respectively will take oath alongside two other senior high court judges.
Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah of the Patna High Court and Justice Manoj Misra of the Allahabad High Court will also be administered oath of office by Chief Justice of India (CJI) as apex court judges in a ceremony to be held at the court’s auditorium in its new building complex.
