SRINAGAR, Feb 7: The Institute of Advanced Studies in Education (IASE) Srinagar has broken all records of payment to a guest lecturer since it paid almost four and half lakhs to a particular person for the lectures delivered at the Institute during a time period of two and half years.
Documents in possession of Early Times reveal that Rs. 4, 40,342 were paid to the guest lecturer during the two and half years. The ‘honeymoon’ of the guest lecturer with the IASE started in January 2017 and ended in July 2019. There was no break in the ‘deal’ even though examination was held in between as well at the Institute.
The guest lecturer was paid Rs. 22,000 for 12 months, Rs. 12,000 for 10 months and the amount varied for some other months as well. The guest lecturer is more than 71 years old and has an experience of more than 35 years in the field of education. The IASE chose this man as a guest lecturer and no chance was given to the other professionals in the field. There was only one break in August 2017.

Jammu, Feb 7: Tall claims of the Power Department to revolutionize power scenario in J&K stand punctured as the much hyped smart metering project has been kept in limbo. Srinagar, Feb 7: Authorities on Sunday informed that one way traffic from Srinagar towards Jammu shall be allowed on the Jammu-Srinagar highway including the local Ramban-Banihal route tomorrow subject to fair weather and better road condition. No vehicle including those carrying livestock or fresh perishables shall be allowed in the opposite direction, a communiqué by the J&K Traffic Police said.

SRINAGAR, Feb 7: The union territory of Jammu & Kashmir reported 59 new cases of Corona Virus following which the total number of positive cases reached 1, 24,909. As many as 10 districts reported no fresh case of the virus in the past 24 hours or so.
