Within hours after LG’s statement, forces avenge Sanjay Sharma’s killing | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 28: Security forces eliminated two terrorists involved in the gruesome killing of a Kashmiri Pandit bank guard Sanjay Sharma.
The 40-year-old Sharma was shot dead by the terrorists in Pulwama district on Sunday, in a local market, adding to the series of targeted killings of Kashmiri Pandit community members in Kashmir.
“Terrorist who masterminded killing of Kashmiri Pandit Sanjay Sharma has been killed in Awantipora encounter. He was identified as Aqib Mushtaq Bhat of Pulwama. Aqib was an “A” category terrorist and was initially working with Hizbul Mujahideen. Another terrorist is also killed”, Rayeez Bhat, DIG South Kashmir range told the media.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday vowed to avenge the killing of Kashmiri Pandit bank guard Sanjay Sharma.
Lieutenant Governor termed the incident “unfortunate” and said the killers of Sharma will be brought to book.

Srinagar, Feb 28: Even as veteran politician, Ghulam Nabi Azad’s son Saddam recently joined his father led Democratic Progressive Azad Party or DPAP, the young man will be focusing on Kashmir.
Saddam, who joined politics in Srinagar on February 26 at a youth convention hosted by DPAP at Nigeen Club had been staying away from politics like the rest of the family members.
But the sources said senior DPAP leaders and Azad’s family convinced Saddam that he should join politics to assist his father. Though 41-year-old Saddam didn’t speak at his maiden entry in the party, he is set to focus on Kashmir.

Srinagar, Feb 28: Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority (JKDMA) on Tuesday issued a ‘low’ danger level avalanche warning over higher reaches of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district for next 24 hours.
The DMA, said that ‘low’ danger level avalanche is likely to occur above 2500 metres above sea level in the district.

Aizawl, Feb 28: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate a new complex of Assam Rifles in Mizoram on March 17, Chief Minister Zoramthanga said on Tuesday.
Shah will inaugurate the Assam Rifles complex at Zokhawsang near Aizawl, the CM told reporters.
Relocation of the Assam Rifles camp from the heart of Aizawl to Zokhawsang, around 15 km from the city, was among the top agendas of ruling Mizo National Front (MNF) in the last assembly polls held in November 2018.
