Revocation of J&K's special status likely to prove detrimental for Dogras? | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 10: The special status of Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370 of Indian Constitution while as the Article 35-A was enacted as per the blueprint given by Maharaja Hari Singh to secure the interests of locals especially Dogras and its revocation is believed to prove detrimental for Dogras.
Maharaja Hari Singh had introduced the State Subject norms on April 20, 1927 to secure the interests of Dogras so that Punjabis did not usurp the rights of Dogras.
Political analysts are of the opinion that revocation of Article 35-A will ultimately dent the business of Jammu industrialists, hotel owners, transport operators, youth beside others.

Anantnag, Mar 10: Jammu and Kashmir Government's failure to submit utilization certificate to Doordarshan has cast doubt on free distribution 10,000 TV and DTH sets worth more than Rs 9 Crore that state received in 2008-09.
Jammu based activist, Mohammad Sadiq Poswal had approached Minister of Information and Broadcasting and sought details of TV and DTH sets that state received from Doordarshan. These sets were supposed to be distributed in far-flung areas of the state.
