BJP opens new Pandora box, demands nomination provision in UT Assembly | | | Early Times Report
jammu, Mar 10: J&K unit of BJP has opened a new Pandora box by demanding that there should be provision of nomination in the new Legislative Assembly of the Union Territory (UT) of J&K to give representation to unrepresented communities.
Party raised this demand in a resolution passed in its state executive committee meeting held at Spiritual Growth Centre Katra on March 7.
"After the decision of 5th August, 2019 and re-organization of erstwhile J&K State, 90 legislative assembly seats have been created union territory of J&K instead of 87 which were available for J&K State out of which four seats belonged to the now Union Territory of Ladakh. In view of the new scenario there was a need for delimitation of the new constituencies in the Legislative Assembly of UT of J&K which process is going on and extension has been granted to the Delimitation commission for a period of one year to conclude the delimitation by March 2022. jammu, Mar 10: The Higher Education Department is in the process of framing new recruitment rules for the selection of Assistant Professor for Government Degree Colleges and Ph.D is likely to be the minimum qualification to apply for the posts and not the National Eligibility Test or State Level Eligibility Test (NET/SLET).
The HED had recently forwarded 344 posts of Assistant Professors (APs) and Physical Training Instructors (PTIs) to Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) but had not forwarded the recruitment rules.
