After high-command’s green-signal Cong to target Azad loyalists one-by-one | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 11: Within days after the much publicized rally of the G-23 leaders at Jammu, the Congress high-command has reportedly asked J&K unit to take action against loyalists of Ghulam Nabi Azad- who have been boycotting official functions for the last some months.
Reliable sources told The Early Times that instead of taking direct action against Azad, Congress leadership has devised a strategy to counter aggressive campaign of former leader of opposition in the Rajya Sabha by targeting his loyalists in J&K.
“After meeting party high command just after rally of G-23 leaders at Jammu PCC chief Ghulam Ahmed Mir is already in-touch with AICC incharge of J&K Rajni Patil to take action against leaders, who owe their allegiance with Azad”, sources said and added that notices to some Azad loyalists have already served after they had boycotted Patil’s function at Jammu a couple of months back.
Sources said that instead of taking action against all loyalists of Azad in one go, the Congress leadership has decided to target them (Azad loyalists) one by one.

SRINAGAR, Mar 11: The Jammu and Kashmir Union territory government will set a process to appoint new vice chancellors in universities where term of VCs have ended or are nearing completion.
There are around 11 universities in Jammu and Kashmir including two central universities. Several universities are run by the caretakers.
Sources in the higher education department said that a process has already begun to appoint new vice chancellors where the term of previous VCs has ended.

SRINAGAR, Mar 11: The union territory of Jammu & Kashmir reported 75 new cases of COVID-19 following which the total number of positive cases reached 1, 27,363. Following a fresh death the death toll due to the virus reached 1,969.
Srinagar district reported 39 fresh cases of Corona Virus including 15 travelers followed by Jammu district 10 cases, Anantnag district eight cases, Baramulla and Budgam districts four cases each, Pulwama and Kulgam districts three cases each and Bandipora & Shopian districts two cases each.
