JAMMU, Mar 14: A surprising development was witnessed today when Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad, who met the recently released NC patriarch Dr Farooq Abdullah at latter’s residence, subtlety ducked the issue of article 370, hinting that his party has accepted the abrogation of JK’s special status.
Azad while talking to the media persons along with Dr Farooq pitched for the restoration of Statehood for Jammu and Kashmir and preferred not to raise any issue pertaining to the abrogation of 370 and whether the order issued on August 5, last year should be rolled back. This is meanwhile for the first time that Congress party has sent feelers about being comfortable with the scraping of JK’s special status for now.

Jammu, Mar 14: In a major crackdown on corruption in Jammu and Kashmir, CBI on Saturday (March 14, 2020) filed a charge-sheet before the Special CBI court at Jammu against three accused of causing huge loss to the bank. The accused are Hilal Ahmad Rather, the son of former J and K finance minister AH Rather and two bank officials Iqbal Singh & Arun Kapoor, who were the branch heads of J and K Bank of the New University Campus Branch.

Jammu, Mar 14: Jammu and Kashmir Government on Saturday said that 164 persons have completed their 28-day surveillance period and, so far, only two cases have been tested positive in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory.
The Government spokesman here said that 1878 travellers and persons in contact with suspected cases have been put under surveillance while as 1567 persons are under home quarantine.
Persons who are in hospital quarantine stand at 24 and 123 persons are under home surveillance, he added.

SRINAGAR, Mar 14: The government today issued advisory for Hotels in view of Novel Corona Virus (Covid-19) situation.
According to the Advisory, the hoteliers have been asked to make sure that the premises of hotel are clean and hygienic, and the surfaces are wiped with disinfectant regularly.
The Advisory stresses on promoting regular and thorough hand-washing by employees, employers and customers.
