jammu, Mar 17: Call it an irony or anything else. NC president, Dr Farooq Abdullah, known for his rhetoric over Article 370 is these days urging people to follow health advisories to avoid COVID-19 and is maintaining silence over the special status of erstwhile J&K State.
Dr Farooq who was released from custody last week, these days is holding meetings with his partymen in Srinagar. People were expecting him to the break his silence over the August 5 decision of the Central Government but he is surprisingly keeping his cards close to his chest.
Farooq Abdullah on Monday asked people to follow health advisories following the unprecedented situation due to coronavirus threat. jammu, Mar 17: Jammu and Kashmir Government on Tuesday ordered transfer and posting of five civil servants and one KAS officer.
As per Government Order No 385-JK (GAD) of 2020, Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon, IAS(JK 1993), Principal Secretary to the Government, Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department, holding additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Transport Department, is transferred and posted as Principal Secretary to the Government, School Education Departrnent.
He shall continue to hold the charge of Administrative Secretary, Transport Department, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.

Both the officers have been placed under suspension in two different orders issued by the Government on Tuesday. NEW DELHI, Mar 17: The Centre on Tuesday presented a Rs 1-lakh crore Budget for Jammu and Kashmir for 2020-21, and said the "highest ever" allocations reflect its commitment to make the Union Territory "a model of development".
The government also presented a separate expenditure plan of Rs 55,317.81 crore for the last five months of the current fiscal.
The Budget for 2019-20 and 2020-21, laid by Minister of State for Finance Anurag Singh Thakur in both Houses of Parliament, estimates capital expenditure at Rs 23,910.95 crore and revenue expenditure Rs 31,406.86 crore.

jammu, Mar 17: The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) Tuesday evening appealed pilgrims to postpone their visit to the cave shrine in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
The appeal came after the Board's CEO Ramesh Kumar reviewed the situation in Jammu where three persons have tested positive for the virus.
"The CEO reviewed all aspects related to the yatra and the safety of pilgrims. Considering the spread of Covid-19 infection, the CEO appealed pilgrims to postpone their visit to the holy cave shrine till normalisation of the situation," said an official spokesman.
