'Unofficially' PDP, NC 'wind-up' PAGD | | | Early Times Report
jammu, Mar 20: With National Conference (NC) leadership is showing little interest to further consolidate the conglomeration, the Peoples' Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) is to be officially collapsed very soon.
Unofficially the PAGD was disintegrated after completion of the elections of District Development Councils (DDCs) because candidates of two main constituents of the amalgam-NC and PDP had fought against each other on many seats in Kashmir Valley. Furthermore both the parties have been taking divergent stands on important issues.
With much publicity the PAGD was formed in the month of October 2019 by Kashmir centric political parties with the pledge of perseverance and steadfastness towards the restoration of Article 370.
This resolution was written in the Alliance's declaration where the political parties stated there would be "nothing about us without us," meaning they will stick together come what may.

UDHAMPUR, Mar 20: In a shocking case, the wife of a government employee with shooting pain had to shed about Rs 55000 for an emergency surgery at a prominent private hospital in Katra after her Ayushman Card was not honoured by the medical institution.
The 23 year old lady from Udhampur district visited the renowned hospital with her husband as she was in pain.
As her husband asked the reception counter about the facility of Ayushman Card benefits he was asked to visit. He had to wait for about an hour but officials did not give any satisfactory reply to his queries.

JAMMU, Mar 20: Election for the post of president Municipal Council Kishtwar was postponed on Saturday following the High Court order binding the government to consider only those candidates who don't suffer from any disqualification.
The High Court directed the respondents Commissioner Secretary Housing & Urban Development Department, Director Urban Local Bodies Jammu, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar & Executive Officer MC Kishtwar to ensure that candidate who did not owe any disqualification in terms of section 16 of the J&K Municipal Act 2000, shall not be elected as president MC Kishtwar.

jammu, Mar 20: Signifying a major achievement for the healthcare department, new Government Medical Colleges (GMCs) in Jammu and Kashmir have been accredited for Diplomate of National Board (DNB) courses in various departments, an official spokesman said on Saturday.
With this, the accredited institutions would get two PG candidates in the certified stream every year, the spokesman said. Till now, 30 Super Specialty and Broad Specialty courses have been approved by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) which are likely to give 58 seats to the Union Territory.

JAMMU, Mar 20: Government has initiated Regular Departmental Action (RDA) against an official of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (RD&PR) Department, in misappropriation of funds case of 2009.
Sources told Early Times that RD&PR official, Irshad Ahmad Lone Junior Assistant posted in Block Development Office Pattan, was booked by Vigilance Organisation Kashmir in 2009, under FIR No. 33/2009 and in 2017 the official was placed under suspension.
"He was booked in connection with misappropriation of funds under 13th FCA (Panchayat Ghar) and illegal withdrawal of funds through cheques during his tenure as Junior Assistant in Block Pattan", sources said.
