Jammu, Mar 21: What could once again expose the questionable function of the present Jammu and Kashmir administration are the latest figures on unemployment in the erstwhile state- depicting a grim picture of the functioning of the government in tackling the menace effectively.
A report titled “Periodic Labour Force Survey April-June 2021” released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation has revealed that the unemployment figures among educated youth in J&K have reached 46.3 percent, the second-highest in India.
Such startling figures have put a serious question mark on the efficacy of the government that so far has been claiming that has made positive strides vis-à-vis ending the unemployment and providing educated youth viable opportunities for livelihood generation. “This is yet another instance when the tall claims of the government have been unmasked.
