Union Govt pulls up JK Admin over failing to address unemployment, fill vacant posts | Cat is finally out of the bag! | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 22: In yet another embarrassment to the Jammu and Kashmir administration, the central government has pulled up the Babus presently posted in the erstwhile state over the dilatory mode of functioning and leaving the grave issues like that of joblessness sadistically unattended and unresolved.
Reports coming to the fore stated that the department-related parliamentary standing committee on Ministry of Home Affairs(MHA) has recommended to the authorities to fast-track recruitment on the posts which have been referred to the Services Selection Board (SSB) and Public Service Commission (PSC).
The report which was tabled in the Parliament last week stated that the Committee notes that 20,323 posts have been advertised by the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board since the year 2020 and presently the selection process has been completed with respect to 9,205 posts, while selection for the remaining posts is under process at various stages.

Jammu, Mar 22: In an allegedly bizarre decision that has drawn severe criticism from the motorists, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir had decided to disown responsibility of any vehicles parked at the Smart City lots in the twin capitals of the Union Territory. While the administration had already been “failing to ensure safety and security of people”, in the latest “babu raaj” is unwilling to even be concerned about the vehicles parked at the recently inaugurated and sophisticated parking lots, which are owned by the government.

JAMMU, Mar 22: A group of people who had carried out various development works under MGNREGA in the Ghaneka Panchayat in Doda district in December 2021 have alleged that the payment due to them has been credited in some other accounts and they have been left high and dry.
These people said the officials of the Rural Development Department (RDD) have told them their dues would be paid in 2023 and till then they would have to wait for the same.

Yet another daily wager lost his life early in the morning today. The daily wager identified as Wasim Mir son of Ghulam Nabi Mir resident of Wahibugh-Kunzer in Baramulla sustained burn injuries while performing his duties at Batpora-Kunzer. Jammu, Mar 22: Spokesman of Jammu and Kashmir Forest Development Corporation Suresh Sharma on Tuesday expressed dismay over employees of the corporation not getting the benefits of seventh pay commission.

Srinagar, Mar 22: Suspected militants shot dead a policeman here on Tuesday, officials said.
They said the shooting took place at Zoonimar Soura area on the city's outskirts.
The policeman was shifted to the Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) where he succumbed to his injuries, a health official said.
Police identified him as Selection Grade Constable Amir Hussain Lone, a resident of Kupwara.
Lone is the third policeman killed in line of duty this year.
