Jammu, Mar 26: The BJP, after abandoning demand of handing over the Rassana murder case to CBI, has decided not to support those who are opposing unnecessary harassment of locals in the name of investigation in the case.
BJP, which claimed to be champion of protecting Hindus' interests in J&K, has expelled its state secretary Vijay Kumar from the party for supporting demand of the Hindus of Samba and Kathua districts to handover Rassana murder case to the CBI.
Vijay Kumar has been expelled from the party to appease PDP, NC and Hurriyat Conference because these parties are opposing handing over Rassana murder case to the CBI for fair trial.
Credible sources in the BJP said that a senior leader of the party was not happy with action of some local BJP leaders of Samba and Kathua districts who had opposed unnecessary torture and harassment of innocent people in the name of investigation in the Rassana case. Will BJP repeal Article 35A and grant citizenship rights to refugees from Pak? | BJP becomes largest party in RS | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 26: The BJP has made it. It has become the largest party in the Rajya Sabha after the declarations of results. The tally of seats in Rajya Sabha after Friday's results suggested that the NDA could inch towards the half way mark of 123 if it gets the support of regional parties such as All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), TRS, YSR Congress and Biju Janata Dal (BJD).
The BJP's growing numbers in Rajya Sabha, along with those of its allies, will help Narendra Modi government reduce the numerical disadvantage it suffered in the Upper House. The BJP, with the help of some regional parties, can put it in touching distance of the majority mark. The sh...

While Geelani is believed to have resigned following threats from the supporters of Islamic State, what is shocking is that Mirwaiz who heads Hurriyat (M) has been staying away from the party activities since then.
Sources said on March 25, a few days after Geelani's resignation, the Hurriyat (M) had called a meeting to decide future course of action.
However it was reliably learnt that Mirwaiz preferred to ...

Jammu, Mar 26: Merely four days are left for the end of deadline of Swachh Bharat Mission in JK and the state authorities have done little to end the open defection in rural areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
As per the official documents in possession of the Early Times, against the approved 37000 Individual Household Toilets, (IHHTs), there are around 16 thousand toilets yet to be constructed.
Such figures besides puncturing the government claims of meeting the deadline for the Project Completion have also taken the lid-off the tall claims of government's seriousness in making the much hyped Swach Bharat Mission a success.

Mercifully, the Congress-dominated and influenced Constituent Assembly didn't accept many of the Ambedakar's sane counsels and incorporated in the Constitution certain provisions, which divided the society instead of uniting it and also promoted separatism in Kashmir and created schism in the society.
Ambedakar was against the idea of Jammu & Kashmir getting a special status on the score of religion. ...

| | Fee structure of pvt schools: Legislation still a dream | Who'll stop fleecing of parents? | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 26: Even as the state government keeps on claiming that it has introduced a number of reforms in the school education sector, such claims fall flat when one of the most significant aspects of making a law to frame a proper fee structure for the private schools of the state is yet to be introduced. In the absence of a law governing the fee structures, the private schools are openly indulging in arbitrariness due to which the parents are forced to shell out extra money for the education of their wards.
