Covid-19 likely to defer tradition annual Durbar move ‘Sudden rise in positive cases in Kashmir pushes admin on backfoot’ 3/29/2020 11:47:13 PM Avinash Azad Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 29: The sudden rise in number of positive cases in the COVID-19 cases in Kashmir is likely to defer the tradition of annual Durbar move by the end of this April. According to sources, breakout of COVID-19 and countrywide lockdown may break the tradition of annual durbar move this year in the month of April, as Kashmir has been hit by the outbreak of this deadly disease. Though, the government is satisfied with the extraordinary efforts being made by the district administration Srinagar, the summer capital city of J&K, but the J&K LG administration is not willing to compromise the protocol and WHO’s guidelines. “Undoubtedly, the district administration of Srinagar headed by the Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary and his team so far has done commendable job”, said a senior officer, adding that non-serious on part of individuals who kept their travel history secret or have close contact with infected persons are deteriorating the measure taken by the J&K Administration.
