Jammu, Mar 29: All political players in Jammu and Kashmir are waiting for others to declare a candidate for the newly shaped Anantnag-Poonch-Rajouri Lok Sabha resulting in suspense over this parliamentary seat.
The election for the Anantnag Lok Sabha constituency will be held in the third phase so political parties are not in a hurry to announce their candidates.
Although Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti has started the campaign on this seat, the party has yet not officially announced her candidature as part of the strategy.

Jammu, Mar 29: The Director School Education Jammu on Friday asked the private schools to follow the rules mentioned in J&K School Education Act 2002.
A circular issued by the DSEJ, a copy of which is with Early Times, reads: “With the commencement of the new academic session for 2024-25, it has come to our attention that certain private schools have been violating provisions outlined in the J&K School Education Act 2002. These violations include the unauthorized charging of annual fees, admission fees, and other charges in addition to tuition fees, as well as increasing fees without approval from the Fee Fixation and Regulation Committee (FFRC).”

Jammu, Mar 29: At least ten passengers died when a passenger taxi they were travelling in skidded off and plunged into a deep gorge on Friday morning in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir.

SRINAGAR, Mar 29: Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority (JKDMA) issued an avalanche warning in the higher reaches of four districts of the Kashmir
valley during the next 24 hours, officials said on Friday.

| | More than 79,000 violations reported through C-Vigil App : Election Commission | Lok Sabha Polls | | New Delhi, Mar 29: The Election Commission (EC) on Friday said its C-Vigil mobile application has become an effective tool in the hands of people for flagging poll code violations and since the announcement of the Lok Sabha election, more than 79,000 complaints have been received.
More than 99 per cent of the complaints have been resolved and close to 89 per cent of those were resolved within 100 minutes, the poll panel said.
More than 58,500 complaints (73 per cent of the total number of complaints) received were against illegal hoardings and banners, the EC said, adding that over 1,400 complaints received pertained to money, gifts and liquor distribution.
