Unable to improve power supply in Jammu, Power Deptt hides failures in shutdown! | | |

Jammu, Mar 3: Unable to improve power supplies in Jammu, which is bearing the brunt of “pesky power cuts”, the power department seems to be hiding its alleged failures by opting for shutdowns more often than before.
In the last two to three months, Jammu apart from bearing with undeclared power cuts has been a “victim” of frequent power shutdowns.
Almost every week, there was a power shutdown in Jammu. But now, the Jammu Power Development Corporation Limited(JPDCL) has spoken about more dark days ahead.
As per the JKDCL, power supply to Sheetli, Part of Sidhra, Bamyal, MES Nagrota, PHE Sheetli and adjoining areas remained affected on March 3 from 10 am to 4 pm.
Similarly, the power supply to Patoli, Brahmana, Domana, Barnai, Mishriwala, Purkhoo, Baba Talab, Shamachak, Gurha Singhu, Batera, Dabbin, Chorpur, Manyal, Dharmkhu, TirthTalab, GREF, Gumpul, Sua No.1, Garkhal and adjoining areas will remain affected on March 3 and 5 from 10 am to 4 pm.

Jammu, Mar 3: Negating all claims of the J&K government to develop the road network in the Union Territory after the abrogation of Article 370, as many as 774 persons have lost their lives in 5422 road accidents during the year 2021.
During the eight Road Safety Council (RSC) held at Civil Secretariat under the chairmanship of Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, it was informed that more than 22 lakh vehicles have been registered from the past decade.

JAMMU, Mar 3: Several property owners whose land or houses were acquired for Jammu Ring Road are in distress over inadequate compensation.
They alleged that the authorities forcibly acquired their fertile land and dismantled several houses for the Jammu Ring Road project by offering them a meager compensation as compared to the existing market price.
