Govt to approach Interpol for catching terrorists operating from Pak, PoJK | | |

Jammu, Mar 3: After issuing non-bailable warrants against some terrorists operating from Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) the Union Government is going to take help from Interpol to get these terrorists backed.
Highly placed sources said that intelligence agencies are preparing lists of terrorists from J&K who are operating from Pakistan and PoJK. “Over 300 terrorists from J&K are operating from across the border”, sources said, and added that intelligence agencies are keeping a watch on the social media accounts of these terrorists. “Through their social media accounts these Pakistan and PoJK-based terrorists are trying to revive terrorism in J&K”, sources said, adding, “after collecting convincing evidence dossers will be prepared against these terrorists to approach the Interpol”.
Sources said that Union Government will approach Interpol to catch these terrorists only after collecting sufficient evidence about their presence in Pakistan and PoJK.

Property of Hizbul terrorist attached in Baramulla | | |

Srinagar, Mar 3: Authorities on Friday attached the property of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Basit Ahmad Reshi in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), officials said.
Reshi, who is currently based in Pakistan, was involved in several terror crimes including terror financing in Kashmir from across the border, they said.
He was declared a terrorist under the UAPA through a notification issued by the Centre in October last year, the officials added.
This is the second such action against Pakistan-based terrorists in the valley.

SRINAGAR, Mar 3: Authorities on Friday issued an avalanche warning in five districts of Jammu and Kashmir for the coming 24 hours, officials said.
The Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority (JKDMA) Friday issued a “low danger” avalanche level warning for the people living above 3500 metres above sea level over Doda and Kishtwar districts of Jammu division in the next 24 hours.
Avalanche with “medium danger” level is likely to occur above 2500 metres over north Kashmir districts of Bandipora, and Kupwara and central Kashmir district of Ganderbal in the next 24 hours.
