Anantnag, Mar 4: A day after PDP Minister threatened to end the alliance with Bharatiya Janta Party, saffron party on Sunday took a 'U-turn' and said it never demanded a CBI probe into Kathua rape-and-murder case and neither sided with the accused.
"People were angry, so our two ministers went there to pacify them because BJP never distances itself from the people and society," BJP General Secretary (organization) Ashok Koul told Early Times on Sunday while defending the presence of two BJP ministers in a rally organized by Hindu Ekta Manch.
