Bickering in INDIA bloc as NC announces to contest all 3 Kashmir seats | | |

Jammu, Mar 5: Giving a clear indication of breaking the alliance with the PDP, the National Conference on Tuesday made it clear that party would contest all the three seats of Kashmir Valley.
Talking to the reporters after the party’s Parliamentary Board meeting, senior National Conference leader Nasir Aslam Wani said that the party is going to contest elections on all three seats of Kashmir Valley.
“Of course, we will contest elections on three seats which party has won in 2019”, Wani said and added that the names of the candidates on three seats would be announced very soon.
Wani further said that discussions with Congress would be held on the remaining three seats of Jammu province and Ladakh.

Srinagar, Mar 5: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit, a multi-tier security setup is in place in Srinagar to ensure a peaceful event.
Modi will arrive in Srinagar on Thursday and it will be his first visit to Kashmir after the J&K’s special status was scrapped in August 2019 . Soon after arriving in Srinagar, he will address a public rally at Bakshi Stadium.

SRINAGAR, Mar 5: A Magistrate Court in Jammu and Kashmir recently ordered a traffic cop in Srinagar to pay Rs 1,000 as compensation for issuing an e-challan citing a traffic rule violation against the wrong vehicle
The challan, which imposed a Rs 1,000 fine, was issued after a scooty driver was found not wearing a helmet. However, the challan was wrongly issued against another scooty vehicle bearing a similar number plate.
The scooty owner who was wrongly issued the challan, therefore, contested the traffic ticket.

JAMMU, Mar 5: At least two people died in a road accident after a vehicle they were travelling fell into deep george near Battery Chashma along Jammu Srinagar national highway in Ramban district on Monday night, an official said on Tuesday.
An official told that the driver of ill-fated cab was failed to negotiate a sharp curve, and the vehicle fell into a deep gorge about 150 meters near Battery Chashma, Ramban, on NH-44 at 12:30 am.

The Special Cell of Delhi Police has filed a chargesheet against Hizbul operative Javed Ahmed Mattu, who is among the top ten terrorists designated by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
He was arrested by the Delhi Police on January 4, 2024.
According to Delhi Police, Mattu has been associated with multiple terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir and has been wanted by security agencies for the past 13 years with a 10 lakh reward on his head.
