Jammu, Mar 6: Initially appointed as Research Assistant on consolidated basis through a backdoor for a period of three months by then Director Science and Technology Civil Secretariat Srinagar, the official reached to the post of Executive Engineer in Housing and Urban Development Department.
Like many other back door appointment cases, this scandal came to light when some whistleblowers in 2019 forwarded a complaint to the then Governor of J&K State Satya Pal Malik and his advisor K.K Gupta along with supporting documents, to take remedial steps to mend the mistake of past governments.

SRINAGAR, Mar 6: The union territory of Jammu & Kashmir reported 79 new cases of Corona Virus following which the total number of positive cases reached 1, 26,932. With a death being reported from Jammu division the death toll due to the virus reached 1961.
Srinagar district reported 35 fresh cases of COVID-19 including 11 travelers followed by Jammu district 16 cases, Baramulla district nine cases, Pulwama and Anantnag districts five cases each, Budgam district four cases and Kupwara, Ganderbal, Shopian, Kathua & Poonch districts one case each.
