Altaf Bukhari’s ‘Apni Party’ set to put pressure on Kashmir centric leaders | | |

Jammu, Mar 7: Former finance minister, Altaf Bukhari, is all set to launch his ‘Apni Party’ on Sunday.
This is the first party to be launched in Kashmir post August 5, when Centre announced its decision to abrogate J&K’s special status and bifurcated it into two union territories. Bukhari’s party comprises mostly of the PDP rebels and a few disgruntled leaders of other parties.
An analyst while talking to Early Times said, “Apni Party appearing on the political arena in the Valley will put pressure on the other Kashmir centric parties to put their act together. Most parties in Kashmir have lost their address post August 5, 2019.”

JAMMU, Mar 7: With the constitution of three members panel headed by Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai for delimitation of assembly and parliamentary constituencies in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, hopes have been pinned among Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK) refugees about defreezing of seats reserved for them.
The POJK refugees have been awaiting political representation for the last over 70 years since their migration from the areas occupied by Pakistan in the year 1947. In the last seventy years several government panels as well as politicians across the spectrum have raked up the issue of giving political representation to them but for no avail.

An order issued by Director School Education, Jammu reads, “It is hereby ordered that there shall be no class work of Primary classes in both Government and Private Schools(JKBOSE, CBSE,ICSE etc.) of Jammu and Samba Districts, till 31st March, 2020. However, Teachers shall continue to attend the schools. In case of any examination in respect of Primary classes during this period, the same shall stand postponed and the schools shall notify fresh dates separately.”

Jammu, Mar 7: Two suspected coronavirus patients undergoing treatment at a hospital here were "high viral-load cases", the Jammu and Kashmir administration said on Saturday, while announcing an immediate suspension of all biometric attendance in the Union territory.
The administration also announced the closure of all primary schools in Jammu and Samba districts till March 31, an official spokesperson said.
