Jammu, Mar 8: Even as Pakistan has intensified its attacks on the Line of Control (LoC) and international border in Jammu region pushing the people to "undeclared warzone", the Raj Bhawan has been silent on this uncalled for aggression from the enemy country.
Defence sources have said in the last around a week, Pakistan has only intensified attacks on Jammy region using heavy artillery.
Sources said Pakistan used 155 mm artillery guns in the Nowshera sector. There has been a sharp rise in the incidents of ceasefire violations after India carried out air strikes to hit terror camps in Balakot in Pakistan even though Pakistani PM Imran Khan has been pretending to extend to olive branch to India.
The Ministry of Defence has confirmed use of such weapons by Pakistan in Jammu region. "They have introduced heavy calibre weapons", the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said in a statement in New Delhi, adding, "Pakistan forces targeted Indian posts and civilian areas with mortar bombs and heavy artillery fire but drew swift and precise response."

Jammu, Mar 8: Terrorists targeting Jammu bus stand with a grenade once again has exposed the tall claims of the police that tight vigil is being maintained in the winter capital of the state.
A Hizbul terrorist lobbing a grenade at the busy bus stand in heart of the city has once again rattled the law enforcing agencies in Jammu city.
Few hours after the attack, which left two persons dead and more than 30 injured, police claimed that it arrested the accused who had hurled the grenade. The accused during questioning, according to the police, revealed that he was tasked by the self-styled Hizbul commander Farooq Bhat to hurl the grenade at the bus stand.

srinagar, Mar 8: Tensions continue to escalate along the borders in Jammu and Kashmir as Pakistan refuses to stop shelling and firing from across the border, turning lives of residents into hell.
In north Kashmir's Baramulla district, a civilian was recently injured in overnight shelling from across the Line of Control (LoC) at Kamalkote sector of Uri area.
Intermittent shelling and firing are going for last one week from across the border.
"Several residential houses were damaged in the heavy shelling by the Pakistan Army all along the Kamalkote sector and at five other places in Uri recently," a government official said.
