Jammu, April 10: The BJP-PDP coalition government has refused to fix responsibility for the damage caused to world famous Basohli paintings of Dogra heritage. And on the other hand a superannuated official, during whose tenure moisture had hit the paintings, has been lobbying hard to get extension in the Archives department for two more years.

The successive governments, after independence, totally failed to pay attention to promote over 800-year-old Basholi art. This art was so famous that its artefacts are lying in the British Museum and other world famous museums.
Since independence, all governments were Kashmir-centric, so they did not pay any attention towards promotion of Basohli miniature art.
