Jammu, Apr 13: After concluding a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir, the Delimitation Commission is likely to submit its report by the end of this month. A decision on assembly elections in the Union Territory will be taken only after the submission of the report by the panel.
On April 5, the Delimitation Commission concluded its two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir after meeting nearly 400 delegations at Jammu and Srinagar.
After putting its report in the public domain the Delimitation Commission had decided to hold direct interaction with the people at Jammu and Srinagar respectively.

Anantnag, Apr 13: Yet another 28-year-old PDD casual labourer was electrocuted to death while repairing an electric line in Kashmir on Wednesday. According to the details available with Early Times a casual labourer-- Shabir Ahmad Khan, 28, son of Mohammad Iqbal Khan of Check Ishardas Mattan got electrocuted while repairing electric line at at Wantrag Kehribal.
He was rushed to Public Health Centre (PHC) Mattan where doctors declared him brought dead.

Jammu, Apr 13: The report of Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India has pointed out that Jammu and Kashmir spends around 80% of its revenue expenditure on the salaries and pensions of its employees. The CAG report has revealed that J&K Government spends around Rs 22719 crore on salaries, pensions and other expenses needed to run the affairs of the administration.
The report has pointed out only 20% is spent on capital expenditure i.e. to build infrastructure and other facilities for a common man. It has stated that the J&K in the year 2019-20 fell short of 40% of the estimated revenue that it expected to collect through taxes.
