Jane Kahan Gaye Wo Din: Kiran Patel’s absence hits inquiry in Kashmir | | |

Srinagar, Apr 14: Even as Gujarati conman, who was arrested in Kashmir has been handed over to Gujarat Police, his absence in Srinagar has allegedly created roadblocks for the inquiry to fix responsibility for alleged lapse on the part of administration.
On March 29 the Jammu and Kashmir administration had ordered Kashmir divisional commissioner Vijay Kumar Bidhuri to conduct an inquiry into various aspects related to the visits of alleged conman Kiran Patel and the provision of security to him.
“Sanction is hereby accorded to the appointment of Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, IAS, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, as inquiry officer to inquire into the various aspects related to the visits of Kiran Patel to Kashmir during the past months and security arrangements made thereof,” a home department order signed by additional chief secretary Raj Kumar Goyal said.
“The inquiry officer shall identify the lapses on the part of officers/ officials concerned and submit a detail report within one week,” the order said.

Jammu, Apr 14: Even as Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) has asked people to register all pet dogs, most of the people have yet not registered their dogs.
Issue of registration again came into limelight when JMC confiscated a pet dog following a complaint of attack. The dog which attacked the complainer was not registered with the JMC.
JMC has already asked all people to all their pet dogs with a registration fee of Rs 500. Those who failed to register their pets within the stipulated time can challan a fine or impound.

Jammu, Apr 14: Notwithstanding clarification issued by the concerned officers, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Jammu and Kashmir is likely to registered case for further investigation in this case.
Although higher-ups of the ACB have yet to make anything public, it is believed that teams of experts of ACB have unearthed another scam in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district as payment to the tune of Rs 6 crore was paid to the contractors without receiving the solar lights.
