Jammu, Apr 16: The government order banning “publicity stunts” while helping the needy seem to be restricted to papers only as a local leader organized a banquet for needy at Lakhanpur and uploaded the photographs on social media platforms.
Moreover, the health advisories of maintaining physical distancing were also violated as organizers as well as chief guest were seen standing not even at an arm’s distance from each other.
According to the photographs along with a written statement uploaded on the facebook profile of a local leader from Lakhanpur, a banquet was organized for the needy people in Lakhanpur, which was inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner while senior police officials were also present on the occasion.

Jammu, Apr 16: While as positive coronavirus cases continue to pour in from Kashmir Valley, no case tested positive in Jammu region during the last 48 hours thus authorities got big relief in this part of the UT.

SRINAGAR, Apr 16: The positive cases of Corona Virus in the union territory of Jammu & Kashmir reached 314 today as 14 more persons tested positive for the virus. All the fresh cases were reported from the Kashmir valley.
Reports said that the fresh cases of COVID-19 were reported from four districts of the Kashmir valley. While 10 fresh cases came to the fore from Bandipora district, two cases were reported from Srinagar district. SRINAGAR, Apr 16 With a vast majority (over 84 percent) of the containment zones in Jammu and Kashmir falling in the Valley, the possibility of spread of the novel coronavirus is higher in the Kashmir region than Jammu region, data shows.
