Jammu, Apr 16: The Aam Aadmi Party led government in Punjab has announced 300 units of free power to every Punjab home.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today announced 300 units of free electricity each month for every household in the state from July 1.
Mann said Scheduled Castes, backward castes, below-poverty-line households and freedom fighters currently getting free 200 units each month will now get 300 units of electricity monthly.
Just within a month after coming into power, AAP has taken major decisions like regularizing daily wagers, restricting private schools from hiking the fees and no announcing 300 units of free power in every Punjab home.

Talking to the reporters here, representatives of daily wagers said, “Our main demand is that all the daily wagers should be regularized and the government should stop giving lollipops to us.”
They said, “The government has decided to give another lollipop to raise our wages to Rs 377/ per day, but we are demanding implementation of the Minimum Wages Act. And Rs 377/ per day is too less.”

JAMMU, Apr 16: Several sanitation workers in Jammu were taken into custody on Saturday. They had protested against the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) in support of their demands including regularization of services here. New Delhi, Apr 16: Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, on Saturday, informed that more than 20.60 crore balance and unutilized coronavirus vaccine doses are still available with the states and Union Territories (UTs).
According to the ministry, more than 192.27 crores (1,92,27,23,625) vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs so far through the Government of India (free of cost channel) and through the direct state procurement category.
More than 20.60 Crore (20,60,37,336) balance and unutilized Covid Vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs to be administered, said the ministry.
