jammu, Apr 17: 100 percent growth in the income of Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh during the past five years has raised many eye-brows because as per salary and perks being given to a Union Minister such hike was unprecedented.
As per official record, salary and perks of a Union Minister is maximum Rs3 lakh per month which means 36 lakh per annum.
According to a report published in a national news paper, assets of two candidates from the Udhampur-Doda seat, who were ministers in the BJP-led governments at the Centre and state, have registered 100 per cent growth during the past five years.

jaMMU, Apr 17: Sardar Balwant Singh Teji, father-in-law of Jammu and Kashmir's Director General Police Dilbag Singh passed away in Jallandhar city of Punjab Wednesday morning.
Originally hailing from district Faridkot, Teji served the state judiciary in various capacities and retired in 1985.
He was followed by his brother, nephews and others in the family and six of them became judges, including a Judge of the Delhi High Court. PS Teji and the family came to be known as family of the judges in Punjab.
He was 92, and hale and hearty till last moment. He breathed his last in the presence of all the family members at his home at Jallandhar.
