Jammu, Apr 23: Polling pattern in south Kashmir's Anantnag district on Tuesday indicated that the Peoples Democratic Party president, Mehbooba Mufti, may have to face an uphill task in next two phases in the same constituency.
Mehbooba is contesting her seventh election from south Kashmir. Till date she has contested six elections from here. She had won all the elections but this time around it seems that chips are not in her favour. Her desperate attempts to lure the voters by acting like a separatist and emerging as a "cheer leader" for Pakistan seems to have not worked.

"Her loyalists, who were mostly the followers of Pak agents, seem to have ditched her this time. As a last ditch attempt Mehbooba on Monday, just one day before the polling day, tried to convey it to the separatists that she can also be the spokesperson of Pakistan to appease them.
