PALLI (BISHNAH), Apr 24: Promising a bright future for the younger generation of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday gave assurance to the youth that they won’t suffer the way their parents and grandparents suffered in the past.
“Friends, believe my words, the youth of the Valley mark my words, the difficulties faced by your parents and grandparents, you will not face those problems. Palli, Samba, Apr 24: Asserting that “democracy is thriving in the Union Territory at the grassroot level... and Central government schemes are being rapidly implemented,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Sunday said in the next 25 years, Jammu and Kashmir will script new chapter of development.

JAMMU, Apr 24: While speaking at an event held at Convention Centre, Jammu last month, the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha had said that the areas being installed with smart meters will be made curtailment free along with supply of quality power to the end user.
In his appeal to people, the Lt Governor said, “I appeal to the people to install smart meters and help the administration in controlling theft and reducing wasteful consumption.”
However, Sinha’s announcement is quite contrary to what really is happening in areas of Jammu city where smart electricity meters were installed and made operationalized.
