PM Modi to launch 91 Radio transmitters today, boost coverage at borders | | |

New Delhi, Apr 27: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate 91 FM transmitters of 100 Watt tomorrow which will give a boost to radio connectivity in the country.
"The government has been committed to enhancing FM connectivity in the country.
The 91 new 100 Watt FM transmitters have been installed in 84 districts across 18 States and 2 Union Territories," the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) stated.
A special focus of this expansion has been on enhancing coverage in Aspirational Districts and in border areas, the release reads.
"The States and UTs covered include Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Ladakh and Andaman and Nicobar Islands," PMO stated.
The PMO further added "With this expansion of AIR's FM service, an additional 2 crore people, who did not have access to the medium, will now be covered. It will result in an expansion of coverage in about 35,000 sq km area."

JAMMU, Apr 27: In a major reshuffle, 10 Indian Administrative Service officers were among 21 top officials transferred in the Jammu and Kashmir administration on Thursday, officials said.
As per two separate orders, following transfers and new postings were ordered by the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
Baseer-ul-Haq Chaudhary, IAS (AGMUT:2015), Deputy Commissioner of Pulwama, is being transferred and posted as the Managing Director of the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited.

Jammu, Apr 27: President Droupadi Murmu in has appointed Justice Atul Sreedharan as J&K High Court Judge as Collegium has recommended his transferred from Madhya Pradesh High Court.
With the appointment Justice Atul Sreedharan the strength of J&K High Court has risen to 16 including the Chief Justice.
Justice Sreedharan born on May 24th,1966, joined the Chamber of Gopal Subramanium, Sr. Advocate in 1992 at Delhi remained with him till 1997. During this period he assisted him in several , civil and criminal matters before the Supreme Court of India, High Court of Delhi and the Trial Court at Delhi. From 1997 to December 2000 he practiced independently at Delhi.

Jammu, Apr 27: The Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court has held that the claim for reimbursement cannot be denied on the ground that it is not one of the approved hospitals.
