Jammu, Apr 2: After maintaining silence over anti-slogans raised by leaders of coalition partner National Conference and undeclared partner PDP, Congress in its election manifesto has tried to appease separatist and anti-national forces. In its manifesto released this morning by senior leaders Congress ignored issues pertaining to Jammu and Ladakh regions. Congress's manifesto is confined only to appease anti-national elements.
Instead of promising to take effective steps to curb terrorism in J&K, Congress, in its manifesto has rather pledged to review the Armed Forces Special Powers (AFSPA) and rework troop deployment in Jammu and Kashmir, besides abolishing the provision of sedition in the IPC, easing rules for bail, and limit the powers of the probe agencies to search, seize and arrest.
The Congress also promised to enact an anti-hate crime law to address lynchings and non-engineered violence in the first session of the 17th Lok Sabha.

srinagar, Apr 2: With the Jammu and Kashmir Police having seized from Srinagar atleast eight luxury vehicles that were stolen from other parts of the country, Kashmir is being seen as "chor bazaar" for such vehicles.
Official sources said numerous such vehicles may have been sold in Kashmir over the years as the authorities looked ignorant about such markets having been operational in the Valley.
