Embarrassment for Pak as PoJK assembly supports Amit Shah on Sharda Peeth

Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 2: Passing the resolution in the assembly of the Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) government on Sharda Peeth has created embarrassment for the Pakistan government. PoJK assembly passed the resolution within days after Union Home Minister Amit Shah the government will explore all possibilities for the opening of Sharda Peeth on the lines of the Kartarpur corridor. The Government of PoJK has proposed that on the same lines as the Kartarpur corridor has been built between the two countries, the Sharda Peeth corridor should be opened as well, and people from India should be allowed to undertake the pilgrimage. While e-inaugurating the Mata Sharda Devi temple near the Line of Control (LoC) in Karnah sector of Kashmir Valley on March 22, the Union Home Minister said that Sharda Peeth has been a historical centre of India's cultural, religious, and educational heritage, like the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor, Government under the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will move forward to open Sharda Peeth for devotees. Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 2: The overall utilisation of budget in Jammu and Kashmir was 20 % less than the total amount of Rs 1.39 lakh crore grants and appropriations during the year 2021-22, Comptroller and Auditor General of India has said, urging the government to be “more realistic” in its budgetary assumptions. It also criticised the failure of the concerned departments to surrender the grants and appropriations to the finance department in anticipation of savings which stood at Rs 28,504.50 crore. “The total provision for expenditure during 2021-22 was Rs 1,39,795.19 crore. Agencies New Delhi, Apr 2: Vice Admiral Suraj Berry on Sunday took over as the new Chief of Personnel of the Indian Navy, according to an official statement. He succeeded Vice Admiral Satish Kumar Namdeo Ghormade who superannuated after more than 39 years of service to the Navy on Friday. BSF officer dies of bullet injury from his own service rifle

Early Times Report Kathua/Jammu, Apr 2: An Assistant Sub-Inspector of the Border Security Force (BSF) died of a bullet injury from his own service rifle at a forward post near the International Border in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, officials said. It was not immediately clear whether the 55-year-old ASI Sukhnandan Prasad, a resident of Madhya Pradash, committed suicide or died after his rifle went off accidentally, the officials said.
