Jammu, Apr 3: UK-based Muzammil Ayyub Thakur, who has already been booked by the Jammu and Kashmir Police for anti-national activities has threatened a Kashmiri woman rights activist Tasleema at the United Nations for exposing Pakistan sponsored terror in her homeland.
Tasleema, who was recently at the United Nations to hail the woman empowerment in Kashmir under Modi regime and to equally expose the sinister designs of Pakistan and its proxies, left the likes of Thakur frustrated.
In response, Thakur threatened her of dire consequences. Tasleema said the so called “human rights activist Muzammil Ayub Thakur threatened me at UN, saying ‘Kashmir Vapas Nahi Jana Kya?".
She has now written a letter to the UN, demanding action against Thakur for his misconduct during the UN session while the matter was being brought to the notice of the JK police as well.
Pertinently in 2022, Thakur who is of Kashmiri-origin has already been booked under the UAPA for allegedly carrying out anti-national activities on social media.

Jammu, Apr 3: Although Principal Secretary, ARI & Trainings, Ashok Kumar Parmar, today visited Shahpur Kandi Dam Project and took stock of works being executed there, the completion of this dream project is still a distant dream.
Almost two years have passed after the foundation stone of this dream project was laid after the signing of the fresh agreement with Punjab. It was announced in April 2021 that the project will become functional by November 2022. The project is being constructed on the river Ravi, 11 kilometres downstream of the Ranjit Sagar Dam and eight kilometers upstream of Madhopur in Punjab's Pathankot district.

Srinagar, Apr 3: Jammu and Kashmir police has arrested a man for allegedly killing his eight year old daughter in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district last week. Senior Superintendent of Police Kupwara, Yougal Manhas said on March 29, a minor girl from Lalpora Kupwara was found dead, with her throat slit, in a wooden shed owned by her family, near to their house.
"Prime facie it looked like the girl was murdered by slitting the throat with a knife. However, after the postmortem was carried out, the medical opinion suggested that she was killed by strangulation," SSP Manhas said.

JAMMU, Apr 3: Jammu and Kashmir Monday reported 40 fresh cases of Covid-19, taking the number of active cases to 166 while no death was reported in the last 24 hours. An official said that among 40 new cases, 19 have been reported from the Kashmir division and 21 from the Jammu division. He said the total number of active cases in the union territory is 166, including 125 from the Kashmir division and 41 from the Jammu division.

Srinagar, Apr 3: Meteorological department (MeT) forecast fairly widespread light to moderate rains over Jammu and Kashmir during the next 24 hours.
Scattered to light rain and traces will occur during the next two days in Jammu and Kashmir, the MeT office said. Currently the weather is mostly cloudy in Kashmir valley.
An independent weather observer Faizan Arif forecast that light to moderate rain showers are expected at most places in Jammu and Kashmir today.
