Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 5: Five days have passed after the superannuation of Director Health Services Jammu but higher-ups in the administration failed to appoint a new director despite the fact that the Union Territory is witnessing a spike in COVID cases. On March 31, Dr. Saleem-ur-Rehman Director Health Services Jammu attained superannuation. As per tradition and keeping in view the importance of the department earlier it was routine to appoint a new director a week before the retirement of the incumbent director but this time appointment has not been made even after the retirement of the director. Failure of the higher-ups to appoint the Director Health Service even after passing five days reflects the casual approach. Interestingly authorities have neither appointed new Director Health Services nor given charge of Director Health Services to any officers. Early Times Report Baramulla, Apr 5: Two militants who had managed to flee from police custody in the northern district of Baramulla in the wee hours on Wednesday were arrested, a police official said. “Both the militants who had fled from police custody were arrested in the Chakloo area,” the official confirmed that they had managed give slip to police during Sehri time taking advantage of the darkness. “Both were arrested within 15 hours.” Earlier, police had sounded a high alert across Baramulla and a massive hunt was launched to track the militants.
