JK’s LG admin couldn’t fill even 8 % of posts in last 3 years | Country’s jobless capital | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 6: What could expose the shirker mode of functioning of LG administration in Jammu and Kashmir is the fact that in the past three years, out of the identified 26303 posts, recruitment has been made on mere 2100 posts which is not even 8 percent of the target achievement.
On Wednesday, the government on the issue of unemployment stated in the parliament that 26,303 posts have been identified in the state since 2019, and the process of hiring was underway. A total of 841 appointments were made in 2020-2021 and 1,264 were hired in 2021-2022.
Such figures have once again exposed the ruthless dilatory mode of functioning in Jammu and Kashmir and how least efforts are being made to ensure the end of surging joblessness in the erstwhile state.
Pertinently, in the recent past a report titled “Periodic Labour Force Survey April-June 2021” released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation revealed that the unemployment figures among educated youth in J&K have reached 46.3 percent, the second-highest in India.
Also, the parliamentary com... | |
