Cong leadership 'cheats' its official candidate on Ladakh seat | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 11: Central and state leadership of the Congress has ditched official candidate of the party on Ladakh Lok Sabha seat Rigzin Spalbar by not sending any senior leader to campaign in the mountainous region known as 'cold-desert'.
Instead of giving support to Buddhist leader Spalbar, Congress leadership rather backstabbed him by not taking any action against rebel candidate Asgar Ali Karbalai, who had contested against as independent candidate against party's official nominee Rigzin Spalbar.
Credible sources said that except giving party mandate to Spalbar, Congress leadership has not given any support to him and rather maintained a distance from his campaign to keep Karbalai into a good humour. Instead of taking side with the official candidate, Congress leadership also supported Karbalai.
Credible sources said that Congress had not take any action Karbalai due to upcoming Assembly polls. Action against Karbalai, who has the backing of an influential group, is going to prove disastrous for the party in future hence the party had dithered.

Jammu, May 11: BJP state president Ravinder Raina's instruction to his party councillors representing various wards of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) to pay attention to basic needs of the people has failed to strike a chord with many Jammuites.

anantnag, May 11: In a shocking incident, miscreants have allegedly damaged apple orchard of a Kashmiri Pandit family in Akura-Mattan village of South Kashmir's Anantnag district.
As per reports and videos that have appeared on social media sites, several fruit bearing apple trees have been damaged by the miscreants during the intervening night. Branches of apple trees have been chopped off )villagers told Early Times.

Srinagar, May 11: The examination department of Kashmir University has once again come under scanner for its failure to maintain the sanctity of the exams conducted in colleges. On May 8, the question paper of English, BG second semester was leaked-17 hours ahead of scheduled time.
The students told a local news agency that the 'A' series of the English paper was shared on WhatsApp on the evening of May 8 while as the exam for the subject was scheduled on May 9 at 3pm. Jammu, May 11: The Director School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has initiated an enquiry in the cutting of over 80 year old majestic Shesham trees from the premises of Government High School Lakhanpur.
The enquiry was ordered by Director School Education taking cognizance of the news report carried by Early Times in its edition of May 11, titled, "Standing tall for 80 years, 4 majestic Shesham trees axed down at GHS Lakhanpur".
