SRINAGAR, May 14: The government officers/officials who have been allegedly using the service of class fourth employees as domestic aides draw their salaries thus violating the rule 'no work no pay'.
According to well established sources, "there most of the class fourth employees comprising daily wagers, need based employees or SPOs are being paid salaries/remunerations for working in the residences of babus.
We believe that, the law of 'no work and no pay' affirms that the people especially government employees should not be paid salaries when their services are rendered by some officials/officers in their domestic chores, said sources.
Sources said that, they have met some daily wagers, need based employees of PHE, I&FC, PWD, R&B, PDD, who claimed that they have rendered maximum service of their life at the home of some retired officials on a promise of a permanent government job.

52 percent toilets for girl students either locked or not useable in schools | | |

SRINAGAR, May 14: Even as the authorities are claiming to have taken steps to ensure adequate infrastructure and other facilities in the schools, an official report has revealed that at least 58 percent schools in the state have either locked the separate provision for girls' toilet or are not usable.
Notably, the officials have earlier admitted that absence of toilets for girls has led to the increase in dropout rate of girl students. However, the authorities seem to have failed to take apt steps to ensure 100 percent useable separate provision for girls' toilet.

ANANTNAG, May 14: A mega building permission scam has surfaced in Anantnag Municipal Council in which officials of the Urban Local Bodies Kashmir have allowed hundreds of constructions without following the rules and regulations, Early Times learnt on Tuesday.
The officials have even allowed constructions on state land and on river banks in violations norms. They said that the construction multi-story shopping complexes across the district have been allowed illegally.
