Srinagar, May 15: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday ordered an enquiry by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) on the use of force on Kashmiri Pandits who were protesting against the killing of Rahul Bhat by militants in Kashmir.
Rahul Bhat, a revenue department official at Chadoora in Budgam district, was shot dead at his office on May 12. His death triggered protests at various places and widespread condemnation

Srinagar, May 15: The Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) on Sunday urged Kashmiri Pandit employees not to leave the valley as it was their home and it would be “painful for all”, after the community demanded their relocation following the killing of a member by militants.

Jammu, May 15: A massive fire has engulfed woods of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Trikuta hills in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police on Sunday said that the fire started on Saturday and gradually engulfed the major portion of the hills.
"It is a major fire and spreading all over in the Trikuta forests," they said.
Police said that the fire fighters from the forest department, police, Shrine Board are on job to control the fire.

Srinagar, May 15: The Border Security Force (BSF) will hold a special training camp in the Gurez valley of Jammu and Kashmir for youths who aspire to join the paramilitary force, a senior officer said on Sunday.
BSF Inspector General (IG) for Kashmir frontier, Raja Babu Singh, said this during his visit to the Gurez valley in Bandipora district.
The officer urged the youngsters of the region to join security forces like the BSF and said a special training camp will be organised in the area.
