While the officials may have been thinking that the LG would avoid visiting the hospitals, which are supposed to be Covid hotspots, Sinha has taken them by surprise. Observers said it was for the first time that any head of Jammu and Kashmir was more concerned about the welfare of people than his own health in these testing times.
“When all VIPs avoid visiting Covid hotspots across the country, lest they get infected, he is the only one showing the way... And this is appreciable,” said a doctor on the condition of anonymity.
