Seniors forced to work under juniors, selectively chosen to man various posts | Horticulture department run by influential officers' | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 1: Throwing seniority list into bin, the Horticulture department has selectively chosen some blue-eyed junior officers, appointed them at district level posts while senior officers in the list have been made subordinate.
The whole scenario has been created by the promotion of junior level officers on look-after capacity, bypassing the seniors in sheer violation of rules/SRO and overthrowing the criteria.
According to the seniority list released vide Govt. Order No. 60- Horti of 2018, dated 17/4/2018, the officers at the top of the list have not been left behind while some have been chosen for district level posts.
The gazetted cadre officers joined the department as Horticulture Development officers and their next promotion is to become District Horticulture officer, District Level Subject Matter Specialist or MCC and their next promotion is to the level of Chief Horticulture Officer.

Jammu, May 1: The Bharatiya Janata Party MLC, Ramesh Arora, has been running from pillar to post to seek the punishment for the team of doctors, whose alleged negligence led to death of his son 28-year old son, Sadhaya Arora, at Government Medical College hospital here on 23 October 2016.
Late Sadhaya Arora was admitted at GMC Jammu on 17 October, 2016 as he was reportedly suffering from Dengue fever but he passed away few days after he was admitted in the hospital. Family members of the deceased had alleged that a team of doctors headed by Dr Anil Mahajan treated the deceased in a very "unprofessional manner" and that led to his death.

Bishan Lal, an auto driver said a 15 feet deep drain makes the Rehari-AG Office road all the more dangerous as two wheelers and pedestrians are always at risk of falling in the drain.

Jammu, May 1: Under BJP's patronage at least four persons who did labour for tile works in 2016 under MGNREGA have reportedly been denied wages by concerned block development officer (BDO) on diktat of local leader, who recently has been elected as Panch from Goder Khalsa village of Bhamala Panchyat of Pouni block.
According to locals, BDO Pouni executed tile work from main road to Middle School Goder Khalsa in 2016, but labour for works has not been paid yet to workers.
