Amid unprecedented power crisis, J&K Admin pats its own back | | |

Jammu, May 1: While the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is plunged into unprecedented power and water crises, the administration is brazenly indulged in patting its own back for improving power generation in J&K.
On Saturday the J&K issued a length handout under the title ‘Badalta Jammu Kashmir’. In this handout, the J&K government claimed to fulfill the dreams of the 1.25 crore residents by providing adequate power.
“In the last 70 years, J&K had been able to harness only 3500 MW of power generation. Now the generation capacity is set to be doubled in 3 years and tripled in 7 years", the government claimed.
“Combined with the huge leap in power transmission capacity, with 150% leap between 2019 to 2021, and reforms in power distribution, the goal of a light to every home' is not a distant dream anymore”, the government claims.
