PDP’s mysterious role leaves Omar worried | Baramulla Lok Sabha seat | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 22: The inactiveness of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on the last two days of the polling on the Baramulla Lok Sabha seat has added worries for former Chief Minister and the National Conference candidate on this seat Omar Abdullah.
The role of the PDP on this seat was also very mysterious and strange especially on the last few days before the polling. Initially, PDP ran an aggressive campaign on this seat, but later the party leaders were seen clarifying that they were not supporting Engineer Rashid.
PDP's hold on the Baramulla Lok Sabha seat is strong because in 2014, the party won this parliamentary seat, when party veteran Muzaffar Hussain Baig defeated the then Lok Sabha MP Sharif-ud-Din Shariq of National Conference.

MUMBAI, May 22:
The Reserve Bank on Wednesday approved the highest-ever dividend payout of Rs 2.11 lakh crore to the central government for 2023-24, a decision which will help better manage the fiscal deficit.
The dividend or surplus transfer by the RBI to the Centre was Rs 87,416 crore for the fiscal 2022-23. The previous high was Rs 1.76 lakh crore in 2018-19.

JAMMU, May 22: The vehicular traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway resumed early Wednesday after being suspended for a day, officials said.
Light motor vehicles and private cars are allowed to travel in both directions on the highway, a traffic police official said. However, heavy motor vehicles are restricted to one-way traffic from Jakhani (Udhampur) towards Srinagar, he added Traffic was resumed on the highway following a day-long suspension,” the official said.
He said there is slow movement between Ramban and Banihal due to poor road conditions and the movement of nomadic flocks.
